Fabio Paratici breaks Harry Kane silence as Tottenham chief reveals plans for striker

Fabio Paratici has reiterated that Tottenham are not planning to sell Harry Kane this summer as the striker is linked with a move away from the club.

The England captain went public to express his desire to leave Spurs during this window as he looks to join a side that are in a position to compete for silverware.

The North London club finished outside the top four last season after sacking Jose Mourinho towards the end of the campaign.

But their search for his successor this summer threw the club into even more disarray as they missed out on Antonio Conte and former boss Mauricio Pochettino, while talks broke down with Paulo Fonseca.

Spurs finally found their new manager with ex-Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo as he links up with director of football Paratici.

Their attention now turns to Kane as they look to keep a hold of him for the upcoming season.

And Paratici insists the striker is an integral part of the club’s plans moving forward.

He told Sky Sport: “We want to keep Harry Kane at Tottenham, it’s our goal. I’ve been lucky to see many top players at Juventus and I want to enjoy Harry Kane too. He’s one of the best strikers in the world.”

Kane is currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020 as he helped his country secure a place in the semi-final with a brace in the 4-0 win against Ukraine on Saturday night.
