‘Disrespectful’ Cristiano Ronaldo slammed for leaving Juventus in ‘serious trouble’ with sudden Man Utd transfer

CRISTIANO RONALDO has been slammed by a pair of Juventus legends for leaving the club in ‘serious trouble’.

The Portuguese icon officially completed his Manchester United return last week, having jetted out of Turin on the eve of Juve’s clash with Empoli.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side lost the clash 1-0, having only drawn their opener 2-2 with Udinese – a game in which Ronaldo was called upon from the bench.

Boss Allegri was left to face the media as CR7 jetted out of Italy.

And Alessio Tacchinardi, veteran of over 400 games for Juventus, told Tuttosport: “He should have had a different way out, not leaving in his private plane while Allegri spoke on the eve of the Empoli match.

“He should have waited for a press conference to say goodbye to the fans: the Bianconeri wanted, no, they deserved a different farewell.

“Cristiano Ronaldo put Juventus and its market strategy in serious trouble by leaving with just a few days to go.”

Sergio Brio, who starred for the Italian giants between 1974 and 1990, added: “Juventus deserve more respect.

“I didn’t expect Cristiano Ronaldo to leave Juventus like that.

“It wasn’t kind of him.

“Cristiano Ronaldo is still a great player, but the farewell could have been done differently and in other words.”

Having jetted back to Manchester following a record-breaking international break – Ronaldo is set to make his United comeback against Newcastle United on Saturday.

Upon leaving Juve, Ronaldo said: “Manchester United is a club that has always had a special place in my heart, and I have been overwhelmed by all the messages I have received since the announcement on Friday.

“I cannot wait to play at Old Trafford in front of a full stadium and see all the fans again.”

There’s an argument to be said, Messi and Ronaldo are like rats

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan, meanwhile, labelled Ronaldo and old rival Lionel Messi as ‘rats’.

He said: “There’s an argument to be said, Messi and Ronaldo are like rats that are deserting financially sinking ships.

“Funny how they’re coming out of Spain and Italy when the finances are coming out of Spain and Italy, that could be one argument.”
