The former Polish goalkeeper shared the dressing room with Ronaldo between United’s glorious era of 2006 and 2009.

Together they won the Champions League, the Club World Cup, and three consecutive Premier League titles, before the Portuguese departed for Real Madrid in a record breaking £80million move.

But 12 years since they were part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s glorious side, Ronaldo has returned to Old Trafford with a bang, scoring three goals in his first two appearances against Newcastle United and Young Boys.

“{He’ll bring} His mentality. I’m sure he came to win something, and the first thing he would say in the dressing room would be ‘Win the game, win the trophies, and be the best,” Kuszczak, who is working with 888sport, told Mirror Football.

“They are already fantastic young players who play for the best team in the World and have the opportunity to play in front of billions of people.

“They know they earn really good money and that they are big stars, but Ronaldo will give them that little bit more.

“They will not think about all of the other things, they will think about being better, getting another step up, not being selfish and just playing for the team.”

A brace from Ronaldo was followed up with a scorching strike from Bruno Fernandes before Jesse Lingard finished a slick team move to put an extra gloss on the scoreline.

The Red Devils then suffered a frustrating setback by losing 2-1 to Swiss side Young Boys in the Champions League just days later.

Nevertheless, Kuszczak believes Ronaldo’s presence will be enough to help United recover, especially with the influence he will have on the younger contingent of United players coming through.

“When I played with West Brom there were some great players in Kanu, Kevin Kilbane, Zoltan Gera, there were lots of great players,” said the retired goalkeeper.

“But the mentality of United was incredible, they were strong, confident, and Ronaldo would bring all of this.

“My time at West Bromwich Albion was special, as it was where I played my first Premier League match, and I remembered this so deep in my heart, because it was a special time.

“The mentality of the players [at United] was completely different, after-all these were the players who wanted to win the Premier League, the Champions League, and they wanted to be the best in their international teams, and win trophies – Soon, you end up becoming one of them.”
