MANCHESTER UNITED strolled to a 4-1 victory over Chelsea as they confirmed Champions League football for next season.
Casemiro ran the show from midfield as Marcus Rashford reached 30 goals for the season.
Brazilian Casemiro got the European party started as he converted from Christian Eriksen’s free-kick inside six minutes.
He was involved once again with a no-look pass to lay on Jadon Sancho before he squared for Anthony Martial to slot home the second.
Bruno Fernandes then converted a from the spot in the second half after nutmegging Wesley Fofana and winning a pen upon being brought down by the defender.
Rashford then rounded out the night with his 30th goal of the season following another error from Fofana.
Joao Felix hit back late on, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
Here’s how SunSport’s Phil Thomas rated the Red Devils.
David De Gea – 7
Had a quieter evening than he should, thanks to Chelsea’s misses, but produced one impressive low stop when Mudryk finally got one on target.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7
Another impressive display, both with his tackling and bombing forward, from a man whose United career has been transformed this season.
Raphael Varane – 7
Cool as you like at the back – sometimes a little too much so, but very much the man who runs things in defence with Martinez crocked.
Victor Lindelof – 7
Another solid show from the Swede – and nearly had an assist as well with a rare forward raid.
Luke Shaw – 7
Had a real tussle with Madueke and just about edged it. Failed to appear for the second half, which could be a huge worry for United.
Casemiro – 9
United’s best outfield performer this season. Got them up and running with the opener and his superb ball was the architect of the second.
Christian Eriksen – 7
Peach of a free kick to pick out Casemiro for the opener and unlucky not to score himself when Malacia’s cross was just behind him.
Bruno Fernandes – 8
Rattled the woodwork when he should have scored, but great skill to nutmeg Fofana in winning the penalty that he scored.
Antony – 6
Set up one chance for Martial, which he blew, and had a couple of dangerous runs before turning his ankle and being stretchered off on 27 minutes.
Jadon Sancho -7
Surprising to see him start but justified the call with a lively display. His unselfish pass handed Martial a tap-in for the second.
Anthony Martial – 7
At times plays like a disinterested, sulky teenager, but he did get on the scoresheet – although it would have been harder to miss.
Marcus Rashford (On for Martial, 27 mins) – 7
Thrown on earlier than Ten Hag would have liked, but lively and finished a memorable night for United with the fourth.
Tyrell Malacia (On for Shaw, HT) – 6
Solid in defence and fizzed one cross over that should have led to a goal.
Alejandro Garnacho (On for Martial, 70) – 7
Wasted no time making an impact off the bench, with the pass to Fernandes that saw United’s skipper win a penalty, and then rattled the crossbar.
Fred (On for Eriksen, 70) – 6
Made a nuisance of himself when he came on, getting his toe in when he had no right to at times.
Scott McTominay (On for Fernandes, 85) – 5
