Here, Mirror Football rounds up the latest transfer news from the Etihad Stadium.

Spurs issue Kane stance

Fabio Paratici, Tottenham Hotspur’s new managing director of football, has stated that the Lilywhites will do everything within their power to keep hold of City target Harry Kane this summer.

The striker, 27, is reportedly seeking a move away in the transfer window with the desire to win trophies elshere.

Paratici told Sky Italia : “Keeping him is not just my goal, it’s our goal as a club.

“I can’t wait to watch him play live, I’ve been really lucky in the past years because I’ve watched a lot of top players and strikers, like Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez, Alvaro Morata, Gonzalo Higuain, and many more which now I forgot about.”

The former Juventus chief added: “I haven’t heard from him yet because I don’t want to bother the players who are busy at the Euros, it doesn’t seem fair to me.

“They’re focused on their own goals with their national teams.”

This comes after French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Spurs would want £120 million for the England captain – less than the Citizens’ take-it-or-leave it offer of £100m last month.

Ings turns down contract

If City are not able to secure the services of Kane, then they may well be in with a good chance of finding an alternative for a cut-price fee.
