The Red Devils announced on Monday the German has been named interim boss until the end of the season, taking the reins from Michael Carrick, who was put in temporary charge.

At the end of the campaign, Rangnick will then move upstairs to work a consultancy role for Man United, and he will even have a say on who replaces him in the Old Trafford hot seat.

Man United’s squad is teeming with talent, but former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was unable to find a winning formula this season, which cost him his job.
