FORMER Everton star Gylfi Sigurdsson is reported to be on the brink of joining Galatasaray.
The Iceland midfielder is a free agent after being released by Everton last month.
He will earn £1.7million-a-season at the Turkish club, according to AS Marca.
The Super Lig giants have offered the 32-year-old a deal despite his inactivity over the last year.
He scored 31 goals in 156 matches for the Toffees but has not featured for them since May 2021.
They released him along with Fabian Delph and Cenk Tosun in early June.
Sigurdsson was signed for the Toffees by ex-boss Ronald Koeman for £44.5m in 2017 after impressing at Swansea.
He was the club’s top scorer in the 2018/19 season and a fans’ favourite during his pomp at Goodison.
But there is no place for him under still relatively new Everton boss Frank Lampard.
Sigurdsson is also well known to Prem fans for his notable spell with Tottenham.

He has also been a key man for Iceland and helped get them to their first-ever Euros in 2016.
