Chelsea’s record signing Enzo Fernandez STARTS against Fulham after £107m transfer as Mudryk given full debut


CHELSEA record signing Enzo Fernandez has been named in the starting line-up for the visit of Fulham.

The World Cup winner signed on deadline day for a British record £107million and is set to make his debut tonight.

It is understood the paperwork was all signed and submitted to the Premier League in time to register Fernandez.

The club were still waiting on a work permit for the midfielder but that was approved earlier today.

Fernandez had to remain patient for the move but Graham Potter has wasted no time in putting him in the side.

The Ukrainian cause the Reds all sorts of problems with his frightening pace and clocked up the fastest speed in the Prem this season at 22.76mph.

The Chelsea faithful will hope he inspires the side to back-to-back home wins for the first time since October.

Benoit Badiashile, who arrived for £35million from Monaco last month, has helped Chelsea keep two clean sheets out of two so far and will be aiming to continue that streak.

He partners Thiago Silva in central defence with Marc Cucurella at left-back and Reece James returning from injury on the right.

Conor Gallagher and Mason Mount join Fernandez in midfield.

While Mudryk is partnered by Kair Havertz and Hakim Ziyech in a front three despite the latter missing out on a deadline day loan move to PSG.
