But for some bizarre reason amongst those, eagle-eyed fans spotted Benjamin Mendy’s name on the list.

Just two above him is Chelsea’s goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Obviously, Benjamin was signed by City for £52million from Monaco in 2017 in the hope he would solve their issues at left-back.

Chelsea quickly deleted their error but not before fans were able to take screenshots and post them on social media.

One fan joked: “You can have him for £40million.”

Another added: “Hopefully that menas they’ve signed him.”

Chelsea’s new home kit, a 1960s-inspired design, have left fans torn over the controversial patterns.

Two-thirds of the ‘Lyon blue’ shirt is covered in zig-zags, while the left-most third of the V-neck top boasts a chequerboard design.

The price has done little to help fans look past the daring design either.

For the top of the range ‘Vapor Match Shirt’, supporters will need to shell out a staggering £104.95.

The home replica top and women’s strip cost an eye-watering £69.95 apiece, with the kids version still a staggering £54.95.
