CHELSEA left-backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmeiri want to quit the Blues for Serie A this summer, according to reports.
The pair have struggled for consistent game time this season with Ben Chilwell usually preferred in the position and a return to Italy is said to be on the cards.
Earlier this month, it was reported Chelsea put the pair on the transfer list.
In a bid to raise funds for another big summer in the transfer market, the Blues are reportedly willing to let them leave.
And with both having played in Italy before, a return to Serie A is a serious possibility, according to Gazzetta.
Alonso, 30, was frozen out under Frank Lampard – who was sacked in January – following a bust-up.
Despite that, the Spaniard initially appeared to be Thomas Tuchel’s first choice shortly after his arrival at Stamford Bridge and was set for a Chelsea revival.
However, Chilwell, 24, has played the last four Champions League games – including both legs of the semi-final win over Real Madrid.
Alonso did start the FA Cup final but it seems he will not be shifting Chilwell any time soon.
The Spain international spent three years at Fiorentina between 2013 and 2016.
And Emerson – who is an Italian international – spent three years at Roma between 2015 and 2018 after a season on loan at Palermo.
Inter Milan is said to be an option as their manager Antonio Conte was repsonsible for bringing both players to Stamford Bridge.
Brazilian born Emerson had looked set to quit last summer, with a move to Serie A seemingly on the cards.
Napoli, Juventus and Inter Milan had seemed keen to bring the outcast left-back to Italy, but the switch never materialised.
Emerson, 26, has played just 15 times this campaign with just two of those games coming in the Premier League.
And Alonso has managed 17 matches in all competitions.
