Moment between Erling Haaland and Phil Foden spotted after Man City’s win over Dortmund

Manchester City fans spotted a moment between Erling Haaland and Phil Foden following the Citizens’ 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Foden approached the Dortmund forward, who is a Man City transfer target, after the final whistle at the Etihad.

It is not known what the duo discussed as both players covered their mouths from the BT Sport cameras.

But they embraced each other and could be seen smiling as they talked before they then headed off to their respective dressing rooms.

Dortmund hit back through Jude Bellingham, but the Englishman’s goal was controversially ruled out.

BVB eventually got back into the contest six minutes before the end with Marco Reus netting an all-important away goal.

But Man City had the final say with the boy wonder Foden scoring in the game’s final minute.

After the match, De Bruyne said: “We saw the way they played. They played really well with the ball. It causes some problems sometimes. I think in the first half we had a little bit of difficulty finding the chances but in the second half, we created a few.

“We probably should have scored a little bit more but obviously when they came back to 1-1, that was a little shame but it happens. I think the reaction was really good so to get the win is good.

“We know 2-1 is a tricky score but at least we are ahead for the second leg.”
