The mystery man who linked up with Liverpool’s legends to take on Manchester United’s legends at Old Trafford is, believe it or not, Andriy Voronin.

Voronin has swapped his signature ponytail for a clean cut look with slightly darker and much shorter hair eight years after his retirement.

The Ukrainian reunited with former team-mates to take on some of United’s all-time greats.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach, Mainz and Koln ace linked up with the likes of Jamie Carragher, Dirk Kuyt and Jerzy Dudek.

They faced some of the Red Devils’ all-time best, such as Gary Neville, Jaap Stam, Paul Scholes and Dwight Yorke.

And he helped the Merseyside legends to a 3-1 victory in a charity match with all proceeds going to the Manchester United Foundation.

Luis Garcia had put the visitors ahead in sublime fashion before Dimitar Berbatov equalised with a cool penalty.

Super-sub Mark Gonzalez then put the game out of United’s reach with two classy finishes, including a free-kick.
