Jadon Sancho is ‘improving’ and could make Man Utd return in FA Cup vs Reading hints Ten Hag as he’s pictured training

JADON SANCHO is on his way back into the Manchester United first team and could be involved in the FA Cup this weekend.

Sancho has been sidelined since October with manager Erik ten Hag believing he was not physically or mentally fit enough to play.

The 22-year-old has only recently returned to full training with the first team since his last appearance away to Chelsea 14 weeks ago.

Sancho was made to focus on an individual training programme after linking up with coaches Ten Hag had previously worked with during the World Cup.

But ahead of Saturday’s evening kick-off against Reading Ten Hag said there is now light at the end of the tunnel for the England and former Borussia Dortmund winger.

And the United boss said: “He is training with the team & we will see.

“He’s improving, he’s making steps & we will make the decision after the training.”

Sancho is more likely to make the bench for the FA Cup fourth-round tie.

Maguire has also found game time difficult to come by and played just seven minutes in the previous round – a 3-1 win over Everton.

But he could partner Victor Lindelof in central defence after missing the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in midweek through suspension.

Maguire has made just one start since returning from the World Cup, helping the Red Devils keep a clean sheet in a 3-0 win against Bournemouth.

He beamed from ear-to-ear at Carrington on Friday as he trained alongside his team-mates.

Fellow centre-back Raphael Varane also looked in a buoyant mood alongside forgotten star Sancho.
