Klopp reflects on Liverpool’s win at Wolves
Mohamed Salah has claimed that he will have “no problem” if he does not win a Ballon d’Or during his career despite declaring that he is the “best player in the world.”
The Liverpool star recently finished seventh in Monday’s vote to the surprise of many, following a scintillating start to the season.
But Salah – at least publicly – seems unfazed, explaining that he will not define his playing days by individual awards, lifting the lid on his own self-belief.
“At the end of the day it’s people’s opinions, but in my mind, I’m the best player in the world, that’s what I say to myself,” the 29-year-old said to Egyptian broadcaster MBC Masr TV.

“I can’t say that I don’t want to win the Ballon d’Or or FIFA ’s The Best, of course, I want to win either of them.
“But if I don’t win either of them, there is no problem. Everything I want, I usually get.
“I know that I will win either of them later, I’m not worried.”
Pundits and supporters alike were stunned at Salah’s finish during Monday’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
While manager Jurgen Klopp admitted his “surprise” at his winger’s position in the rankings, Liverpool legend John Barnes also blasted the controversial call.
“Absolutely it was harsh that Mo Salah only came seventh in the Ballon d’Or,” Barnes told BonusCodeBets.co.uk.
“It’s great to have individual accolades and it feels a bit strange that he finished where he finished, but the main thing is to just keep scoring goals.
“Salah should have finished higher in the Ballon d’Or than Jorginho but individual accolades really mean nothing.
“This season Mo’s been incredible, but the timing of when it starts and finishes is a bit strange.
“But it’s not important. What’s important is doing well for Liverpool and they’re flying.”

Lionel Messi was crowned the winner, picking up a record seventh golden ball as he pipped Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski.
The Paris Saint-Germain superstar was asked whether that tally could be beaten following the ceremony and Messi noted Salah as a competitor.
“I don’t know if the record is beatable,” the Argentine pondered. “I just have to accept it but I’m not sure if it can be beaten.
“Salah will have opportunities in the years to come. Both players [Salah and Lewandowski] are at their best at the moment and will have more chances to win it.”
