Manchester United’s season is almost over and it will certainly come as a welcome relief to everyone involved at the club, following their worst ever campaign in the Premier League, but there is light at the end of the tunnel with Erik ten Hag on his way to the hot seat.

The Dutchman recently handed the Ajax player of the season to Jurrien Timber, who has been linked with the Red Devils in the past, while he has also been told to plan Man Utd’s rebuild around two England internationals.

Ten Hag identifies perfect defensive solution

Incoming Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag may have already identified the perfect solution for the Red Devils’ leaky defence for next season, which is currently the sixth worst in the Premier League this season.

Ten Hag has just won the Eredivisie title with Ajax and during the celebrations, he gave the player of the year award to Jurrien Timber, who has in fact already been linked with a move to United, with the speculation going into overdrive following Ten Hag’s appointment as manager.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form for Ajax this season and as a result, the Dutch manager said that giving Timber the player of the season award was a “no brainer”, as reported by Voetbal International, via the Manchester Evening News .

Man Utd squad rebuild should focus on two new signings

Manchester United’s new manager Erik ten Hag Ten Hag has been told to build his squad around England stars Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham this summer, as he plans a complete overhaul.

Those are the thoughts of former Chelsea striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who believes that the two players in question will be crucial to leading a new age at Old Trafford, with plenty of ins and outs expected at the club over the next few months.

And Hasselbaink, who was speaking to Prime Slots, via Metro, believes Kane should leave Spurs if he has ambitions to win major trophies and says United should be looking to secure his signature, along with his England teammate Bellingham.

Ajax identify replacement for Man Utd target

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Ajax winger Antony this summer, who may well join the Red Devils alongside Erik ten Hag should an offer be made by the club, and it has now been revealed that the Eredivisie champions have already identified a replacement.

According to Voetbal Primeur , Ajax have now identified a replacement in 22-year-old Nice winger Calvin Stengs, should he move on, and this has provided a big boost to United’s chances of capturing the winger in the upcoming months.

Antony has also been linked with moves to Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain off the back of another superb season with Ajax, so the Red Devils know they won’t have much time to secure a deal before others start to get involved.
