Kylian Mbappe ‘begins house-hunting in Madrid’ as European Super League takes shape

Kylian Mbappe has reportedly started searching for a house in Madrid as speculation he could leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer intensifies.

Mbappe’s future has been the subject of huge interest throughout the season, even before the announcement of a European Super League on Sunday night.

PSG have not signed up for the new league, which breaks away from UEFA’s competitions and is chaired by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

Los Blancos have long been in pole position to sign Mbappe and Perez is a huge admirer of the 22-year-old, who would represent the perfect big-money transfer to launch his lucrative new competition.

Mbappe, for his part, has instructed one of his posse to start searching for a house for him to buy in Madrid, according to Goal .

The report adds this does not mean the French World Cup winner has made up his mind about joining Real Madrid, as he speaks excellent Spanish and may simply desire a property in the country’s capital.

What should Mbappe decide to do this summer? Have your say in the comments.

But it is certainly a hint at where Mbappe may see his future as his PSG contract continues to wind down.

The former Monaco man has one year remaining on his deal and little progress has been made regarding an extension.

Asked about his plans earlier this year, Mbappe said: “I am in a period of reflection, but if I sign with PSG it is to be there for many years.”

Even with 12 months remaining on his contract, PSG are sure to demand a huge fee for Mbappe, should he decide to pursue a challenge.

The establishment of the European Super League may help Real Madrid to that end, as they will reportedly receive a €300million (£259m) welcome bonus for joining the breakaway competition.
