Kyle Walker wanted by Fenerbahce as Turkish giants plan to test Man City’s resolve with tiny transfer bid


MANCHESTER CITY defender Kyle Walker is a target for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, according to reports.

The 32-year-old has had a reduced role this season – playing ten times in the Premier League.

Walker has suffered injuries which and has since slipped down Pep Guardiola’s pecking order,

And with his contract expiring at the end of next season, there are question marks over his future.

Now, Fenerbahce are willing to test Man City’s resolve with a bid worth up to £6.15million, according to ASpor.

The report suggests the club want to add Walker to their squad to challenge for the title.

The Turkish outlet claims Walker wants to “embark on a new adventure”.

Fenerbahce would be willing to offer Walker a long-term contract on a “good annual wage”.

It is believed the club are going to step up their interest in the coming days.

The Turkish transfer window shuts later than in England, with clubs able to buy players until February 8.

He would not be the first Englishman to try his luck in Turkey.

Players such as Daniel Sturridge and Aaron Lennon recently played in the Turkish Super Lig.

Former Tottenham star Deli Alli is currently part of Besiktas’ squad while on loan from Everton.

Fenerbahce are currently second in the top flight in Turkey, four points adrift of Galatasaray.
