Zinedine Zidane will err on the side of caution by opting not to include Toni Kroos or Eden Hazard in Real Madrid‘s squad list for their match at home to Eibar on Saturday afternoon.
Both players trained with the group on Friday morning, but the Real Madrid boss made clear during his press conference that he will not take any risks with Kroos and Hazard, especially ahead of a week in which Los Blancos face Liverpool (April 7) and Barcelona (April 10).
“With Kroos we’re not going to be foolish, there are still a lot of games left,” Zidane said, before going on to say that “we do not have a plan with Hazard.”
As such, Kroos and Hazard will instead focus on making sure that they are ready to feature against Liverpool.
On the other hand, it is expected that Mariano Diaz and Alvaro Odriozola will be named in the squad for the Eibar match after returning from injury.
