Real Madrid – La Liga: Real Madrid return to their shooting range at Balaidos

Real Madrid return to Balaidos this weekend, visiting a Celta Vigo side who have been tricky opponents for many of LaLiga Santander‘s bigger sides recently.

But Los Blancos haven’t had the same struggles as Barcelona there, and they’ve won on five of their last six visits, with the only failure to win coming in a 2-2 draw in 2017/18.

Not only do Real Madrid tend to win at Balaidos, but they haven’t been shy of goals. Each of their five wins at Celta has seen them score at least three goals, winning 3-1, 4-2, 4-1, 3-1 and 4-2 since 2015.

This weekend’s meeting comes after an impressive 3-1 win over Atalanta in the Champions League, which was the eighth game this season in which Los Blancos have scored three or more goals.

Zidane, Kroos and Lucas

Zinedine Zidane has never lost against Celta as Real Madrid boss, winning seven of his nine games against the Galicians.

Toni Kroos has scored six times against Celta, four more than against any other team. He has been involved in four goals in six visits to Balaidos, with three goals and an assist.

Lucas Vazquez, meanwhile, has been involved in more goals at Balaidos than anywhere else, scoring twice and assisting once.
