While many are enjoying a four-day weekend, it’s a hugely busy time at Anfield by all accounts.
Liverpoolheld talks with Erling Haaland’s agent, Mino Raiola, and father on Friday as they weigh up a bid for the Borussia Dortmund star this summer.
Meanwhile, the Reds have been boosted by a £538million investment from RedBird Capital Partners which Jurgen Klopp welcomed as “good news”.
Remarkably, NBA superstar LeBron James is said to be taking a hands-on approach in running Liverpool, as he recently became a partner at RedBird.
Amid the talks and investments, Klopp and sporting director Michael Edwards remain in pursuit of recruits to strengthen the Reds this summer.
One RB Leipzig star linked with a move to Anfield has responded to speculation over his future, while there are also updates on the potential departures of Georginio Wijnaldum and Mohamed Salah.
Here is Saturday’s Liverpool transfer round-up.

Barcelona question Wijnaldum pursuit

Barcelona have long-been the frontrunners to sign Georginio Wijnaldum at the expiry of his Liverpool contract this summer.
The midfielder will be available for free for the cash-strapped Catalans, while Wijnaldum has the chance to reunite with his former Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman at Camp Nou.
But things are no longer so clear-cut.
Sky Sports claims Barcelona are now questioning whether they need to sign Wijnaldum amid a flurry of emerging talents at their La Masia academy, the latest of whom is 18-year-old Ilaix Moriba.
Club president Joan Laporta has been hugely impressed by Moriba – who has made eight senior appearances – and would like to see him promoted to the first team.
But the news is not all good for Liverpool – who still harbour hopes of keeping Wijnaldum – as Marca claim Juventus are keen to sign the 30-year-old.

Liverpool are growing increasingly aware of Mohamed Salah’s desire to pursue a new challenge.
That’s according to ESPN , which claims the Egyptian forward has left his club with a ‘conundrum’ to solve this summer.
Nonetheless, Liverpool remain calm about Salah’s future, as he has two years remaining on his deal and is not actively pushing for a move away from Anfield.
The 28-year-old is the Reds’ top scorer this season with 25 goals in 40 appearances.
