FIFA 22 highest-rated La Liga XI revealed with Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez


EA Sports has revealed with eleven players the highest-rated Premier League XI on FIFA 22, featuring stars from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid

EA Sports has confirmed the highest-rated La Liga XI on FIFA 22, featuring star players from Real Madrid, Barcelona and current champions, Atletico Madrid.

EA Sports confirmed the 22 highest-rated players in FIFA 22 on Monday, ahead of the game’s UK and worldwide release date of Friday October 1, 2021, with Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi crowned the top player once again in this years game

The highest-rated player’s list has had a history of being dominated by La Liga stars, however with no Messi in the league and some of the league’s biggest players starting to decline, only four players were representing La Liga in FIFA 22’s top 22.

With Messi now at PSG, the highest-rated player spot goes to Atletico Madrid ‘keeper Jan Oblak, with the Slovenian rated at 91 out of 99 overall. The second-highest player in the league is also a goalkeeper, with Barcelona’s Marc-Andre Ter Stegen given an overall rating of 90.

On Wednesday, EA Sports has now revealed the highest-rated La Liga XI, containing players from the top three teams in Spain – Atletico, Real and Barcelona. Los Blancos dominate the side, with six players representing Real Madrid in the starting XI.

Barcelona have three players in the starting XI with new signing Sergio Aguero slotting into the forward’s positions, whilst the current La Liga champions Atletico have two.

  • CM: Toni Kroos (Real Madrid) – 89 overall
  • CM: Luka Modric (Real Madrid) – 87 overall
  • CM: Frenkie De Jong (Barcelona) – 87 overall
  • LB: Jordi Alba (Barcelona) – 87 overall
  • CB: David Alaba (Real Madrid) – 84 overall
  • RB: Dani Carvajal (Real Madrid) – 85 overall
  • GK: Jan Oblak (Atletico Madrid) – 91 overall

Atletico Madrid have representatives at opposite ends of the pitch, with 88 rated Luis Suarez and Jan Oblak both slotting into the best XI.

Barcelona’s newest signing Aguero is up-front in the starting XI, whilst Frenkie De Jong occupies a midfield position as he upgrades to 87 overall. Jordi Alba sits in defence at 86 rated, the highest-rated La Liga defender in the game.

And Real Madrid control the side with over half the highest-rated XI from Los Blancos.

New signing David Alaba partners Dani Carvajal in defence, midfield trio Casemiro, Toni Kroos and Luka Modric dominate the midfield, and Karim Benzema sits up-front after one of his best seasons in a Real Madrid shirt.
