Dani Alves and Lionel Messi formed an unstoppable bond during their time together at Barcelona and now Pharco FC, a little-known Egyptian side, want to bring the pair back together.
Pharco have only recently been promoted to Egypt’s top tier, and they’re dreaming of reuniting the Brazilian and Argentinian in northern Africa.
“I’m working to bring Dani Alves from Sao Paulo because his experience can help us,” Pharco’s owner, Shreen Helmy, told El Hadath Al Youm. “I met him and he told me that he has wanted to play for Sao Paulo since he was eight years old, but I think I can get him to Egypt.
Helmy continued to discuss Messi, although he admittedly isn’t expecting to sign the Argentine star in a playing capacity.
“We negotiated with Messi,” Helmy added. “Not to come as a player, but to strengthen relations with him and for him to contribute to increasing treatment for hepatitis C.”
