Sergino Dest has been the pick of the selection, with his domestic form carrying over into the United States’ national team. He followed up his two goals against Real Sociedad with a fine strike against Jamaica, earning himself the man of the match award.
Antoine Griezmann, Martin Braithwaite and Miralem Pjanic also found the net, with Griezmann‘s strike for France a quite wonderful left-footed effort. It was a historic moment for Les Bleus’ forward as he equalled David Trezeguet‘s record of 34 goals at international level, with Griezmann now placed fourth in the nation’s all-time record list.
Braithwaite scored one of Denmark‘s goals against Israel, whilst Pjanic put in a clever rebound from his own missed penalty for Bosnia and Herzegovina against Finland.
