Blues push for Sterling

Chelsea are set to make their approach to sign Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling.

The England winger has emerged as new owner Todd Boehly’s top transfer targets after it emerged that City may be willing to sell Sterling, who has just one year left on his contract at the Etihad, for around £55million. Blues boss Thomas Tuchel is thought to be a huge admirer of Sterling and is keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge, with Boehly now tasked with getting the deal over the line.

And that could even happen as early as this week with the Blues readying an offer and City not planning on standing in his way if the right offer comes in.

Talks have taken place between Barcelona coach Xavi and Dembele’s agent Moussa Sissoko, but they came to no final agreement. And that could leave the door open for Chelsea to bring the player to Stamford Bridge.
