Matheus Fernandes plans to sue Barcelona for unfair dismissal after the Blaugrana officially announced the Brazilian midfielder’s contract termination on the penultimate day of June.
Barcelona spent seven million euros to sign Matheus when Eric Abidal was the club’s sporting director, but the player was never officially presented by the Blaugrana.
In fact, when Barcelona announced his signing, the news raised some eyebrows in Brazil, where many analysts considered that the player not to be of Barcelona’s level.
According to Radio Barcelona, Matheus is not happy with the Catalan club’s decision to terminate his deal and he is willing to take them to court.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have denied reports which indicated that the club had received offers for Matheus.
