Barcelona: Laporta: I ask Barcelona fans for their confidence, we will solve this situation

Following Barcelona‘s 3-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich on Tuesday, Joan Laporta decided to send a message to the club’s fans as he pleaded for patience.

The Barcelona president publicly acknowledged that he is hurt by both the result and the team’s display, but he urged the fans to place their confidence in the club’s board.

“Hello, Cules, I am as outraged and hurt as you are,” said Laporta.

“What is happening is one of the scenarios that we contemplated, and I ask you be patient and continue to support the team.

“And I also ask you to be confident in those of us who are leading the club. We need your trust and time, and have no doubt that we will solve this situation.”

Barcelona‘s directors are aware that Bayern Munich are Champions League contenders and realise that they are superior to the Blaugrana.

However, the team’s performance frustrated Laporta, who has put his faith in Ronald Koeman. For the time being, the Dutchman’s job is not in danger.

In the next two weeks, Barcelona will face Granada, Cadiz and Levante in LaLiga Santander, before they play their second Champions League match against Benfica in Lisbon on September 29.
