Barcelona: Adama Traore close to re-joining Barcelona

Barcelona have intensified negotiations with Wolverhampton Wanderers to complete the signing of Adama Traore.

A deal is now close and the player could undergo a medical as early as Friday.

The Spanish club hope to bring Traore back to Catalonia initially on loan with an option to buy, though both teams are negotiating the final details of the transfer.

All signs suggest that an agreement could be reached in the next few hours with Jorge Mendes pressuring Barcelona to act quickly due to interest from other clubs.

The most likely result is a loan with an option to make it permanent for 30 million euros.

Wage cap is a problem

Barcelona‘s wage cap problem has limited their options in the transfer market, but in the case of the winger from Wolves, he could be registered without requiring an exit for Ousmane Dembele.

Conversations are on track and Gerard Romero has said that there is an agreement between both parties, though MARCA cannot confirm that yet.

It is clear that Traore is the club’s number one target to reinforce Xavi‘s attack, helping to cover the position given the uncertainty over Dembele‘s future.
