Agnelli: The founding of the Super League isn’t a coup

Juventus‘ domestic season was one filled with disappointment, the club are looking to move forward positively, although Andrea Agnelli, the club president, has made clear that his role in the founding of the Super League wasn’t a coup.

Juventus remain in UEFA’s crosshairs alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona for being the only three clubs not to yet pull out of the European Super League project.

Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid are determined to achieve a complete reform of the competitions,” Agnelli explained.

“Other sports have faced changes of this type, and almost all those interested agree that the model must be changed. It was a desperate cry for help, not a coup.”
