Piers Morgans’ sarcastic response to news Harry Kane wants to leave Tottenham

Celebrity Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has provided his reaction to the news that Harry Kane has reportedly told Tottenham that he wishes to leave this summer.

The England striker has spent his whole career with the north Londoners, becoming a legendary figure at the club following his sensational performances and scoring record.

Kane has been in superb form again this season, scoring 22 goals and creating 13 assists in the Premier League.

But despite his fine showings Spurs have struggled, and look set to miss out on Champions League qualification for the second year in a row.

Given his allegiances to the Gunners, it is perhaps unsurprising that Morgan did not react too sympathetically to the news when it broke on Monday evening.

The former Good Morning Britain host took to Twitter to simply post: “Oh no…” along with two laughing emoji faces.

The big question now will be over where Kane could go if, indeed, he is to depart.

Manchester United and Manchester City have been most strongly linked in recent times, and Chelsea are another who are believed to have made contact over a potential transfer.

It seems likely Kane would prefer to remain in England, but he could yet be tempted with a move abroad if he feels there are a team who can match his ambitions.

A switch to PSG could see him reunite with former manager Mauricio Pochettino, while the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are also likely to be mentioned as potential destinations.
