Martin Odegaard ‘tempted’ by Liverpool transfer after Jurgen Klopp chat

Arsenal loan star Martin Odegaard would consider a move to Liverpool this summer if Jurgen Klopp decides to make an offer, reports suggest.

Odegaard has shone at the Emirates while on loan from Real Madrid, and it is believed that the Gunners will try and sign him once the transfer window opens.

The Norwegian wonderkid will apparently be allowed to leave, with Los Blancos eager to raise funds to support a move for Erling Haaland.

Odegaard came to Arsenal as a replacement for Mesut Ozil and made an immediate impression, having already won the hearts of Gunners fans for his performances on the pitch.

Mikel Arteta seems eager to sign him permanently, but it now seems he could face competition from the Premier League champions.

Fans joked that Klopp was tapping up the wonderkid playmaker after Saturday’s game between the two clubs.

Klopp was seen talking to Odegaard out on the pitch before giving him a hug, with observers suggesting there was a little more than met the eye going on.

And Spanish outlet AS claims it isn’t just speculation, and that Odegaard would actually be interested in a move to Anfield.

Odegaard has flirted with the idea of joining Liverpool in the past.

Back when he was playing in Norway and was emerging as a 15-year-old generational talent, he had been linked with every team in Europe.

However, he admitted that he wanted to move to Liverpool.

“Liverpool have always been my dream club,” Odegaard said at the time.

He still has two years to go on his contract at Madrid, but he is on a list of players they’re willing to offload.

Madrid will apparently sell Odegaard, Gareth Bale, Brahim Diaz and Luka Jovic, all of whom are currently out on loan.
