“Manchester United are becoming increasingly resigned to missing out on Tottenham striker Harry Kane,” the Mail notes.

“United are eager to bring in a new forward, with Kane, who has one year left on his current contract, their main target.

“Erik ten Hag’s side aren’t confident that they will be able to sign Kane.

“Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy hasn’t given any indication that he is open to selling Kane, who is also wanted by Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

“United could therefore turn their attention to other targets and may look to bring in two strikers – one with experience and a younger player, with Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund amongst the players under consideration in the latter category. “

Arsenal target Caicedo

Arsenal are keen to bring in Moises Caicede in part due to his versatility on the pitch.

The Ecuadorian was the subject of a number of bids in the winter transfer window but stayed on the south coast.

Mikel Arteta could now return this summer.

The Mirror claims: “Arsenal’s interest in Brighton star Moises Caicedo dates back to January of this year and the reason why the Gunners are so keen has become clearer.

“Mikel Arteta is thought to have submitted multiple offers for the Ecuadorian during the January transfer window earlier this year, with the highest coming in at £70million. That proposal was swiftly rejected by the Seagulls, who expected more for one of their prized assets who has since signed a lucrative new contract at the Amex.

“As a result, Caicedo is certainly not going anywhere on the cheap this summer. Despite the rejected bids at the turn of the year, Arsenal still harbour hopes of landing the 21-year-old’s signature in the coming months and part of that is due to his versatility.”

Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez has been offered huge wages by Al-Ahli to secure the 32-year-old.

“RIYAD MAHREZ has reportedly been offered a stunning exit from Manchester City worth £40million a year – just hours before the Champions League final,” reports the outlet.

“Mahrez, 32, has two years remaining on his deal at the Etihad but has been linked with a move away from the Treble-chasers.

“And now Saudi suitors are attempting to lure Mahrez to the Middle East with a mega offer.

“Al-Ahli are hopeful of securing the services of Mahrez this summer.

“The report adds that the Saudi side have offered the winger a two-year contract worth £40m a season plus bonuses, with the option of a third year.”

Chelsea may have to reduce Havertz asking price

The Telegraph believes that Chelsea may have to lower their £70m asking price for Kai Havertz.

The German international is wanted by Real Madrid and Arsenal, but with two years left on his deal, there is a chance he will run it down and leave for nothing.

The paper explains: Chelsea are facing a dilemma over the future of Kai Havertz after setting what the clubs interested in signing him believe is an unrealistic asking price for the forward.

“Havertz has attracted interest from Real Madrid and at least two other clubs, with Arsenal thought to be monitoring developments, but their asking price, which is believed to be around £70 million, has so far put off potential bidders.

“Given the fact Havertz still has two years on his contract and is a German international and Champions League winner, having scored the winner in the 2021 final, Chelsea believe their valuation reflects the market rate.

“But Havertz has not indicated a desire to extend his Chelsea contract yet and is thought to be interested in a move away from Stamford Bridge, particularly to Real, which clubs believe will drive down his price.”
