Gibbs has found himself down the pecking order at The Hawthorns with the Baggies keen to offload him.
The former England international is the club’s highest paid player on £70,000 a week.
Despite the money earned from being in the Premier League, West Brom want to trim their wage bill in anticipation of being in the Championship next season.
Gibbs is expected to join up with Phil Neville’s side halfway through the 2021 MLS season
New Inter Miami boss Phil Neville is working hard to recruit players ahead of the 2021 MLS campaign, which begins next month.
Neville, who wants to improve on last season’s tenth place finish, said recently: ‘In terms of the roster we definitely want to add two or three more players, that’s imperative for us to have a good season.
‘We’re working really hard, Chris Henderson [chief football officer] is doing a really good job.
‘I do expect there to be one, two or maybe three more additions, but we’ll have to see.’
