Thomas Tuchel has enjoyed a stunning start to his reign as Chelsea manager.
The German manager has overseen a remarkable campaign since replacing the sacked Frank Lampard – and he will no doubt look to stamp his authority in the summer transfer window.
Among his top priorities will be sorting out his attacking woes, with Timo Werner struggling for goals while Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud are believed to have been told they can leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
There are expected to be other departures too, as Tuchel oversees an overhaul of his squad in a bid to challenge for next season’s Premier League title.
Here are the latest Chelsea transfer rumours…
Aguero move worth ’25 goals’
Ian Wright has urged Chelsea to sign Sergio Aguero – saying the Manchester City striker would be worth “25 goals” to Thomas Tuchel’s side next season.
Aguero will be available on a free transfer this summer after his City contract expires following a decade at the club.
Arsenal legend Wright says “it doesn’t make sense” that City are letting Aguero go – saying he couldn’t understand why the 32-year-old didn’t come on during their first-leg win over PSG last week.
“He was so sharp against Crystal Palace,” Wright said on his podcast. “How a player of that calibre, as good as he is, is not starting against PSG when you saw the chances they created where they didn’t have a No.9 – you need a half-chance taker.
“You’re going into that situation without arguably one of the greatest strikers. It doesn’t make sense that he’s leaving.”
Wright added: “Can I throw something out there? He should go to Chelsea.
“Can you imagine Aguero up top for Chelsea with Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, all those guys, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, [Christian] Pulisic around him, that’s 25 goals.
“Me, if I’m Chelsea and I can get him for free, I’m going in.”
Chelsea can use Emerson to land Juventus star
Chelsea could ship out Emerson Palmieri this summer to land Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.
The Blues are keen on Sandro and could offer Emerson in part-exchange, according to Calcio Mercato.
The Italian publication claims Juve are interested in the Italy left-back, who has struggled for opportunities at Chelsea since the arrival of Ben Chilwell last summer.
And rather than risk losing Emerson for a knock-down price, they could use him to secure the signing of £25million-rated Brazil star Sandro.
The 30-year-old attacking left-back would offer Tuchel’s side extra options in their quest for major honours next term, although if he were to sign it hasten the departure of Marcos Alonso.
Tuchel to reunite Thiago Silva with PSG ace
Thomas Tuchel has reportedly told the Chelsea board he wants to sign PSG star Marquinhos this summer.
Tuchel plans to raid his old club as he looks to reunite Thiago Silva with his former defensive partner, according to the Sunday World.
Silva joined on a free from PSG in the summer , and his experience has proved invaluable in west London.
Marquinhos, 26, has three years remaining on his Parc des Princes deal and would likely cost upwards of £70m.
The Brazil centre-half headed PSG into the lead in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against Manchester City, before Pep Guardiola’s side hit back with four goals across the two ties.
