Transfer update: Arsenal ‘plan’ player-plus-cash Maddison move
The rumours that Romelu Lukaku could make a sensational return to his former team Chelsea are growing louder and louder.
And Blues fans will no doubt be intensely following all the news over the coming days to see if the Belgian striker does, indeed, make a multi-million pound move from Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, the club are still working hard to get a deal for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde over the line, while there are expected to be further outgoings from Stamford Bridge too as Thomas Tuchel builds a squad he hopes can compete for the Premier League title.
So without further ado here are the latest whispers coming out of west London…

Tuchel has reportedly already been in contact with Lukaku over the proposed move.
The former Manchester United and Everton man was thought to be undecided over whether or not he would fancy a move back to England, especially given his happiness in Italy.
But according to Belgian outlet HLG Lukaku was hugely impressed with what Tuchel had to say, with his agent Federico Pastorello ‘not expecting’ his client to turn the Blues down.
The piece also states that Tuchel has promised Lukaku “heaven”, and the German clearly sees the forward as the player who can fire them to glory next season.
Inter want two players
The main issue holding up the move could be whether or not the two clubs can agree a fee, with Inter thought to be demanding over £100m.
In order to sweeten the deal, however, Chelsea are thought to be willing to offer one of their fringe players in a players-plus-cash situation.
According to The Independent, Marcos Alonso and Davide Zappacosta may be shown the door at Stamford Bridge.
And those two along with a huge wad of cash could well tempt Inter to reluctantly let their prize asset go.
Atalanta could enter Abraham race

Lukaku’s arrival would surely seal the future of Tammy Abraham, who would find his game-time limited even further.
The 23-year-old certainly has no shortage of possible suitors, with Arsenal, Aston Villa and West Ham among those linked.
But according to Sky Italia, a move abroad could be on the cards, with Atalanta set to enter the race.
They claim that Abraham could be available for £35m – a fee Atalanta would be willing to pay if they sell their forward Duvan Zapata, who has been linked with Inter.
We could be in for quite the transfer merry-go-round…
