Arsenal’s supposed home kit for the 2021-2022 season has been leaked online and many fans have been quick to criticise the design.

The shirt – which was shared by FootyHeadlines – will be primarily red, with white sleeves and side panels. The shirt will also feature navy stripes on the collar.

As a result, the shirt has been compared to that of Ajax, with many fans claiming the 2021-2022 strip looks ‘more like’ the Eredivisie side than Arsenal.

Fans were quick to take to social media to share their opinion the kit – which is expected to go on sale in July.

One supporter Tweeted saying: ‘Arsenal really made the Ajax kit and put their badge over it’.

While another added that Arsenal had simply: ‘Replaced Ziggo with Emirates and the Ajax Logo with that from Arsenal’.

Another supported added that dressing up like Ajax won’t fix their frustrating and somewhat embarrassing recent form in both the Champions League and Europa League. 

They wrote: ‘Dressing up as Ajax won’t get us playin in the UCL lads’. While another added: ‘Arsenal always get great kits, shame about the football though.’

One fan even took the opportunity to praise the Dutch side, saying: ‘It’s Ajax FC we’re by far the greatest team the world has ever seen’.

Images of the new home kit comes just days after Footyheadlines revealed the club’s third jersey for next season.

The lightning inspired shirt, designed by Adidas, will be predominantly blue and has been rounded off in style by a shade of turquoise and red and white logos.   

It mirrors the memorable ‘Blue Lightning’ away kits released by Nike, and worn by an array of swashbuckling big names, between 1994 and 1996.
