After a poor campaign in the Premier League last term, the Gunners have loosened the purse strings and are splashing out.

Ben White looks set to sign for a fee of £50m, joining the likes of Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares through the Emirates door.

But Arteta has more planned with the likes of Martin Odegaard, Aaron Ramsdale, Sergino Dest, Houssem Aouar and James Maddison all linked, while there are a number of departures also mooted.

Here are the latest Arsenal rumours and gossip.

Arsenal have been told it will cost them €50m to sign Martin Odegaard by Real Madrid, report ESPN.

It comes as Mikel Arteta continues to make the Norway international his top target this summer.

The Gunners coach has been desperate to sign a playmaker and was impressed by the 22-year-old last season when he joined on loan.

And despite a change in manager, it appears Real are prepared to let Odegaard leave this summer after naming their price at €50m.

That gives Arsenal a target to reach with Arteta likely needing to sell players to raise funds with a £50m move for Ben White in the process of going through.

In 20 games for the Gunners, Odegaard scored twice and made two assists.

However, it was his strike against Tottenham that made him a cult hero at the Emirates.

The goalkeeper has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal this summer after the Blades were relegated from the Premier League.

Ramsdale has been priced at £32m by the Bramall Lane outfit and negotiations are ongoing between intermediaries.

But Jokanovic has insisted the Englishman is happy in Sheffield and is not looking to leave.

“Of course I will be hurt if they go, because I do not detect any unhappiness from them,” he said.

“I do not feel, having worked and been around them, that they are unhappy to be here or with us.

“They are quality players. I am surrounded by quality players here. But everyone knows their qualities.

“I don’t read English newspapers. I prefer to read the ones from my own country. Seriously, of course I am aware of situations and what is being said.

“But for me, I am very happy with their commitment and their attitude. I am happy with the commitment and the attitude of all of the players. It pleases me.”

They had hoped that the USA international could be tempted to leave while the Nou Camp outfit must raise funds and reduce their wage bill to register their new signings.

Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay are among the new faces at the club but are not allowed to play due to strict La Liga rules.

But Dest has no intention of leaving while Ronald Koeman does not want to see the 20-year-old depart either.

The youngster had been tipped as a potential Hector Bellerin replacement, who Inter Milan are reported to be interested in.

The Spaniard has two years left on his contract and has told Arsenal he will not be renewing his terms.
