Talks held with Brazil youngster
Arsenal have made moves to sign Fluminense youngster Matheus Martinelli, according to reports in Brazil.
Globo Esporte reports that the Gunners have been scouting the 19-year-old Brazilian in recent months.
They have opened talks with his entourage to see whether he would be keen on a switch to the Emirates.
Arsenal know the benefits of the Brazilian market having signed Gabriel Martinelli in recent years.
Mavropanos future unknown
Konstantinos Mavropanos admits he has no idea where his future lies.
The Greek international, who was signed by Arsene Wenger, is on loan at Stuttgart this term.
He doesn’t know what the future holds, but could be keen to remain in Germany.
He told BILD : “I can’t say that at the moment (if I will return to Arsenal).
“Things can change quickly in football. I still have two months here in Stuttgart and would like to end the season with the team as high up as possible.
“The door at VfB is open for me [to stay another year] – that’s very good, but I can only think specifically about the future when we have talks with Arsenal for the new season.”
North London Kokcu battle
Arsenal and Tottenham will go head-to-head in the battle to sign Orkun Kokcu from Feyenoord, claims the Daily Mail .
The midfielder is on the Gunners wish list as they again look to strengthen and bolster Arteta’s squad.
Tottenham though, who haven’t decided on Jose Mourinho’s future, are looking to secure his services.
The Turk came through the ranks in Rotterdam and has now represented his country.
