Arsenal may have been set back by Manchester City’s asking price for Jesus this summer but the Gunners remain heavily interested in signing the Brazilian striker, although they now face competition from their biggest rivals.

Arteta pushing for Tielemans transfer
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his midfield options this summer and following reports that the Gunners are interested in securing the services of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, the Spaniard is now pushing the club’s board to seal a deal.
The Belgian is valued at around £25 million and is believed to be open to leaving the Foxes this summer, and the north Londoners are ready to pounce as Arteta looks to get business done early before other club’s have the chance of hijacking any deal that they submit.
The Gunners desperately need to solve their midfield dilemma no matter what, with injuries and suspensions playing a bit part this season, and now Arteta is demanding the board to stump up £25m in order to get the deal over the line, as reported by the Telegraph.

Pepe sale to boost Saka contract offer
According to Caughtoffside, Arsenal plan on selling Nicolas Pepe in order to fund their new contract offer to Bukayo Saka as they aim to keep one of their most prized assets on their books beyond this season.
Saka is keen on playing at the highest level as he continues to grow with each season and due to Arsenal’s inability to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League, they are now at risk of potentially losing the England international, who has been linked with Liverpool this year.
And following reports of Pepe hiring a new agent in order to search for pastures new ahead of next season, the Gunners are now keen on speeding things up as it would allow them to contribute extra funds towards a new and improved contract extension for Saka this summer.
