Cristiano Ronaldo’s brace and Bruno Fernandes’ smooth finish saw Manchester United overcome the Gunners 3-2 at Old Trafford.

The North Londoners travel to Merseyside to face a wounded Everton who have lost six of their last seven matches.

However, Arsenal’s focus will also be on the upcoming January transfer window as much as Rafa Benitez’s side.

And with this in mind, Mirror Football looks at three of the latest transfer rumours emanating around the Emirates Stadium.

The Egyptian midfielder’s one and only Premier League start of the season came in the North Londoners’ loss at Old Trafford.

Prior to the midweek defeat, he had only played 60 league minutes all season, having fallen behind Thomas Partey and Albert Sambi-Lokonga in the midfield pecking order.

Reports from Fanatik (Via the Sun) had initially claimed the 29-year-old would soon be on his way to Turkish giants Galatasaray during the January transfer window.

However, contrasting reports from Al-Madina have claimed Saudi Arabian side Ittahad have prepared a contract and will soon meet the former Basle star’s agent, who is also believed to have flown out to the country to investigate.

Arsenal chasing Uruguay star

Darwin Nunez has become one of the latest strikers to be linked with a move to Arsenal

Benfica star Darwin Nunez has become the latest goalscorer to be implicated in Arsenal’s search for a new striker.

With Alexandre Lacazette’s contract expiring at the end of the season and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang’s struggles, a new striker appears to be Arteta’s next priority.

And reports from Uruguayan outlet Traspasos have claimed the North Londoners are set to join the transfer tussle for his signature.

The 22-year-old has scored eleven goals and contributed two assists for the Portuguese giants, and has attracted plenty of attention across the continent.

Jorge’s Jesus’ side reportedly value the precocious striker at around £34m.

Dejan Kulusevski

The young Swedish winger has only started three Serie A matches in Turin this season, having fallen down the pecking order.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side are still struggling beneath the weight of crippling finances and are reportedly looking to raise some funds through player sales.

And Arsenal could take advantage of the Italian side’s unstable situation, as reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio have claimed the club have made contact with his representatives about a possible move.

At present, it is unclear as to whether Arteta’s side would want to sign him permanently or on loan, but Di Marzio has clearly stated “They want him”.
