Jesus opens up on future

Gabriel Jesus has already told his Manchester City bosses what he wants this summer.

The Brazilian forward has been linked with a move to Arsenal this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to add new firepower to his squad following the departure of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in January and Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah looking like they will also depart. After winning the title with City this season, Jesus has admitted he will take some time during his holiday to “decide about my future”.

And with the striker widely tipped to join Mikel Arteta’s side, Jesus has admitted his future is “still uncertain”.

Bellerin stumbling block appears

Hector Bellerin’s massive £100,000-per-week Arsenal contract could stop Real Betis from making his loan move permanent.

The Spaniard was left in tears following his final game of the season with the LaLiga outfit after spending the campaign playing for Los Verdiblancos, the side his dad supports. After he joined the club on loan in August the full-back said he was delighted to “make his father’s dream come true” and he shared an emotional goodbye to the club following the match.

But Bellerin’s substantial wages could prove a stumbling block to making the move permanent, and Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has hinted there could be a way back into his first-team plans for the defender.

Arteta makes Saliba decision

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has made a final decision on William Saliba’s future – and the defender may not be happy about it.

The young Frenchman spent the season on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Marseille and impressed so much while helping the side qualify for next season’s Champions League that he earned his first call-up to the France national side. Saliba has since said he would like to remain with the club in order to play in next season’s competition, but Arteta wants the defender back at the Emirates.
