Arsenal’s new home kit for the 2021-22 season has been leaked online and – the Gunners’ new jersey bares a striking resemblance to an Ajax shirt.
The new shirt, which is still yet to be confirmed by Arsenal or Adidas, has a block of red through the middle with white side panels and white sleeves.
Mock-up images of the shirt have appeared on social media in recent weeks, but this is the first time an image of the actual shirt has been shared online.
FootyHeadlines, a website known for leaking images of football shirts before they are revealed, posted an image of the shirt and compared it to one of the computer generated leaks.
Supporters couldn’t help but notice the similarities between the shirt and Ajax’s usual designs after the images were first circulated.
Fans joked that the shirt was a ploy to try and convince Marc Overmars to return to the club.
Overmars, who played for Arsenal during his career, is currently director of football at Ajax but is expected to leave before long.

One fan wrote: “If we’re going to commit to relying on a bunch of youngsters, may as well go 100% Ajax,” one wrote.
Another commented: “Too much white, too little red. As everyone else has said already, screams Ajax.”
Some fans theorised that the shirt was a tactic to try and coax young midfielder Ryan Gravenberch to join.
“If it’ll fool Gravenberch into coming here, I’m all for it,” one wrote.
“If this is meant to entice Gravenberch, then great. Even Raiola won’t know what hit him,” another posted.
“Lads we’re signing Gravenberch,” one confidently joked.
