Barcelona could have a busy summer ahead of them as they balance an overhaul with restricting finances.
The Catalan giants endured a mixed season but saw Joan Laporta return for a second spell as president.
He has vowed to make them a success once more meaning wholesale changes among the playing group with Lionel Messi’s future still uncertain.
The Argentine is expected to stay but several of his team-mates may seek pastures new with England an option.
Barcelona are battling huge debts and need to reduce their wage bill with Ronald Koeman now confirmed as their manager for next season.
Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia have arrived on frees and several other new faces could follow, but exits are also expected.
Several Premier League clubs could yet pounce and we take a look at five players who could head north.
Philippe Coutinho
The fairytale move that turned into a nightmare. Coutinho’s switch from Liverpool in January 2018 has been anything but successful.
The Brazilian hasn’t had an easy time of it with injuries, fan backlash and several changes of manager.
His talent remains clear and he has shown in brief moments that he remains a class act. That said, Barcelona appear ready to cash in should they receive an acceptable offer.
Liverpool have been touted as a possible destination but it seems unlikely that Jurgen Klopp would entertain his return.
Chelsea and Manchester United have also been involved in the Coutinho rumour mill in recent times.
Miralem Pjanic
The Bosnian moved to the Nou Camp as part of a swap deal that saw Arthur go the other way to Juventus.
It hasn’t been much of a success thus far though and he has been linked with a return to Italy.
However that could open the door for an English club to jump the queue and seal Pjanic’s services.
Chelsea have previously been linked with Pjanic, although they are heavily stacked in midfield.
Sergi Roberto
Barcelona’s versatile star is the subject of interest from Manchester City and Pep Guardiola.
A €60m fee has been touted for the Spaniard who would prove to be an asset for anytime, despite his lack of minutes this term.
That lack of action saw him left out of Spain’s squad for Euro 2020 and Sport claim Roberto’s future at the Spanish giants is now in doubt.
Koeman remaining as manager could mean the status quo continues, if so Roberto may seek the exit door.
Ousmane Dembele
The forward was linked with a United switch last summer as their Jadon Sancho plans fell through.
He could again be a back-up plans for the Red Devils as his contract winds down in Catalunya.
Dembele’s deal expires in 2022 so Barcelona are ideally looking to sell him or tie him down to an extended deal.
The Frenchman has struggled for consistency though and may fancy a fresh start in a new country.
He wouldn’t be short of admirers with Liverpool potentially reshaping their attack.
Samuel Umtiti
The centre-half started just six of Barcelona’s games in La Liga this term.
Another player whose time at the Nou Camp has been hampered by injuries, but he still has plenty to offer.
Age and time remain on his side should he want to resurrect his career elsewhere.
Arsenal and United have both been linked with his services in the past and both are in the market for a central defender.
