INTER MILAN’S bus raced through a red light in a desperate attempt to flee celebrating AC Milan fans – after their rivals halted their Serie A dreams.
The arch enemies went into the final weekend of the season both dreaming of winning the league.
However, AC’s 3-0 victory over Sassuolo was enough to secure their first Scudetto for 11 years.
Inter also won 3-0 but had to settle for second.
And as one half of the city’s supporters partied on the streets, the other side’s team coach had to make its way through.
Video footage from Milan showed the black-and-blue bus stuck in the traffic caused by Rossoneri fans in cars and running around on foot with flags.
Clearly worried about potential damage to the bus and being attacked, the Nerazzurri’s coach driver found a gap and sped up to the red light.
He then suddenly went straight through it and turned left to evade the chaos and escape to safety.
AC Milan had Olivier Giroud to thank on the final day as his double helped secure the title, their 19th in total.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic delivered a rousing speech in the dressing room to toast the win.
And then after his final sentence, the iconic Swede flipped the table before the room erupted.
The whole AC Milan squad – including coaching staff – bounced around wildly and sprayed champagne to toast their incredible success.
After the game, Ibrahimovic took aim at his and his team’s critics – before paying an emotional tribute to his former agent Mino Raiola, who died in late-April at the age of 54.
Then Stefano Piolo’s team enjoyed an open-top bus parade through the city with tens of thousands of adoring fans on Monday.
