Tuttosport: Pioli wants to write his name in Milan history

Stefano Pioli became the head coach to end AC Milan’s 11-year wait for a Scudetto, but the hope of everyone is that it is merely the start of something bigger.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Pioli has a double hope for the season ahead. In addition to going as far as possible in the Champions League, the Rossoneri coach has the main target of winning the league again and thus a 20th Scudetto and a second star for the shirt.

It will not be easy though, as Fabio Capello is the last manager who was able to win two consecutive league titles as a coach at Milan, going on to win three in a row. Pioli wants to do it too and overtake some great coaches such as Liedholm, Rocco, Sacchi, Ancelotti and Allegri who were unable to accomplish this feat with Milan.

There is an added motivation too given that the Rossoneri would like to get a second star before Inter, who are also on 19 Scudetti. Doing so might just put Pioli in Milan folklore, along with some other great names.
