Tomori and Rebic could both return to face Lazio as conditions improve

After Saturday night’s derby victory against Inter, good news continues to flood out of Milanello as a key duo are close to returning to the field.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), there is a positive update to bring regarding the condition of Fikayo Tomori and Ante Rebic as both of them are close to getting rid of their respective knee and ankle problems.

The English defender should return to training with the rest of the squad either today or tomorrow, while the Croatian forward has worked with the rest of his team-mates on field. Therefore, both could return to the field on Wednesday in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia against Lazio at San Siro.

It would certainly be a timely boost for Pioli who has been without much depth in the centre of defence and in his attack, and it opens up more solutions with Zlatan Ibrahimovic expected to miss the next two games.
