AC Milan

The seven AC Milan players who will be in action at the World Cup and their opponents

Now that all of the squad lists have been announced, the number of AC Milan players who will be at the World Cup has finally been confirmed.

It is a peculiar season given that the World Cup will force a winter break in the middle, but of course it will be the proudest moment of a lot of players’ careers to represent their country on the biggest stage.

Milan’s representation starts with Sergino Dest, who will be there with the USA national team and will face Wales, Iran and England in the group stages.

Next is Simon Kjaer, who will be there with Denmark and will have to face Tunisia, France and Australia. Charles De Ketelaere has been summoned by Belgium, with their group featuring Canada, Morocco and Croatia (who did not call up Ante Rebic).

Fode Ballo-Toure will be in the Senegal squad that won the most recent AFCON and they share a group with the Netherlands, Qatar and Ecuador. Rafael Leao has been called up by Portugal for their games against Ghana, Uruguay and South Korea.

Finally we come to France, where Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez will be there to represent the current world champions (but not Mike Maignan), with them set to battle team-mate Kjaer and Denmark plus Tunisia and Australia.
