The results are in. Real Madrid fans believe that Sergio Ramos is the big loser after his split from Real Madrid, and feel as though Paris Saint-Germain is his most probable next step.
“Who has lost the most?” was the main question in our MARCA survey, with 53 percent of over 200,000 voters opting for Ramos. Seventeen percent said Real Madrid, and 30 percent believe each party has lost as much as the other.
As far as responsibility is concerned, only 32 percent feel that Florentino Perez should shoulder the blame for the separation, with 68 percent putting it down to Ramos himself.
There was more of a split when asked about Real Madrid‘s real intentions in the renewal talks. As many as 45 percent of fans feel that Ramos could have been given different treatment, given his status at the club, while 55 percent think it would have been normal for the offer to be on the table without an expiration date.
When it came to next destinations, PSG were far out in front, taking 42 percent of the votes. Twenty-four percent see his next step being to join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, 20 percent believe he’ll move to a ‘lesser’ league in Major League Soccer, China or elsewhere, while nine percent think he’ll join Chelsea and just five percent can picture him heading to AC Milan.
There was more of a divide when Florentino Perez was concerned. While 52 percent of fans don’t think that an explanation should be offered to members, as many as 48 percent believe that there should be one forthcoming.
