Sky: The latest on the injured Milan players

Several AC Milan players are currently recovering from injuries but only a few of them will return within the next couple of weeks. In spite of this, there is still some good news for the manager Stefano Pioli.

During the game against Empoli last night, Calabria, Kjaer and Saelemaekers were added to the injury list. This means that Milan now have nine players unavailable in one of the toughest periods of the season, with Chelsea XI and Juventus up next.

According to Sky Italia (via @mgpg07), Maignan will be out until the game against Monza later this month. Theo Hernandez is aiming for the clash against Juventus, but at least he will be back for the second leg against Chelsea.

Origi could be back on Wednesday or perhaps the Juventus games, while Messias is feeling better already and could also be included for the first Chelsea game. Kjaer and Saelemaekers will have to await their exams (which will take place tomorrow).

2022 is over for Calabria who suffered a rather serious hamstring injury in yesterday’s game and with Florenzi already out, it’s a big blow for Milan.
