Scout explains Milan are ‘focusing a lot’ on young striker with massive potential

Milan have several young players in their squad and many of them did really well last season, proving the Rossoneri’s project right after all. And with that in mind, they have no intention of stopping.

One of the players that came through Milan’s youth ranks is Lorenzo Colombo, who has already made a few apperances for the first team at the age of 19. Eleven official apperances, to be exact, and one goal in the process.

Although he started this past season with the Rossoneri, he was loaned to Cremonese in January to get more playing. It wasn’t a huge success for the youngster who, in addition to scoring very little, didn’t get the desired playing time either.

In an interview with Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, GR Sports scout Cristiano Pavone spoke about Colombo and heaped praise on him. He also revealed that Milan believe a lot in the player.

“Colombo was born in 2002. He’s a young man and Milan are focusing a lot on him. Last year, Lorenzo had some opportunities and he took advantage of them in the best possible way, before going on loan to gain experience. He reminds us of Vieri for his physical strength, for his progression and above all for his style of play,” he stated.
