Romelu Lukaku aims brutal dig at Zlatan Ibrahimovic as ex-Man Utd team-mates continue feud

Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic once shared a dressing room at Old Trafford, but the pair clearly aren’t pals anymore after the Belgian striker’s latest jibe at his former teammate on social media.

Lukaku sent a not-so-subtle shot Ibra’s way after Inter were crowned champions of Serie A, ending Juventus’ nine year run of sheer dominance in the process.

The former Manchester United teammates clashed earlier on in the season in the most recent Milan derby, with Lukaku clearly furious at something Ibrahimovic had said to him during the tie.

Both parties received a one-match ban for their unsportsmanlike conduct, though Inter ended up winning the clash 2-1, meaning Lukaku had the last laugh both on the day of the clash and come the end of the season.

The Inter striker took to Twitter to flex his side’s success and remind Ibrahimovic of who is sitting pretty at the top, writing: “The real god has crowned the king!”

“Now bow down. King of Milano,” the striker added, accompanied with a winking face and a crown emoji.

The forward has been the figurehead for all of Inter’s recent success, notching an impressive 21 goals in 33 Serie A games to fire his side to domestic glory.

In contrast, AC Milan are left to rue a dismal end to the season, sitting a huge 13 points adrift from their fierce rivals after at one stage being comfortably above them.

With that being said, Ibrahimovic has enjoyed an impressive season on a personal note.

The Swede has found the net on 15 occasions in just 18 appearances, despite the 39-year-old’s campaign being littered with injuries.

While Inter bask in the glory of a Serie A title, AC Milan now have an uphill battle to even secure Champions League qualification next season, a prospect that seemed unthinkable earlier on this season when Zlatan and co. were on course to mount a serious title tilt.
